DevOps Show Season Stop 2: QCon London
Recently, we published The Top 15 DevOps Conferences To Attend in 2018 as a global guide to DevOps shows throughout the year. Let’s take a closer look at one of those events – QCon London.
What is QCon London?
QCon is an international software developer conference for senior engineers and architects, focusing on the patterns and best practices of leading enterprises. If you attend conferences regularly, you know that there are hundred of events to choose from. Here are three reasons you should include QCon London in your 2018 conference plans.
1. A No-BS Approach
There is nothing worse than walking into a session that seemed like an interesting talk on the agenda, but turns into a paid infomercial. That doesn’t happen at QCon. Every speaker is fully vetted; favoring engineers over evangelists, practitioners over coaches, and team leads over consultants.
2. A Plethora of Sessions to Choose From
With 18 tracks, 144 talks, over 160 speakers, and 14 workshops during the three day event, there’s a good chance you’ll get a serious case of FOMO (fear of missing out). Since there are up to six sessions running simultaneously, try to take advantage of the live streaming and on-demand replays for sessions that you miss.
Here are our top picks for which sessions to attend:
- Neural Networks Across Space and Time
- Scaling Uber’s Elasticsearch Clusters
- Data Driven DevOps
- Microservices Lessons Learned From a Startup
- It’s People, Stupid (People Are Stupid?)
3. The Pub Crawl
This is pretty self-explanatory. A pub crawl in London? Count us in!
We hope to see you in London! Visit us on the expo floor at booth #2 – we’ll be giving demos of Instana’s AI-Powered APM all day, and giving out some awesome swag as well.
